FEATURED PORTFOLIO

GRAND STREET

LOCATION

Alameda, CA

PROJECT

We updated this historic home in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Alameda. The original kitchen was a postage stamp at 200 square feet. With a small addition and reconfiguration this house finally has the kitchen it deserves. We embraced the height of the room with tall cabinets and a library ladder to make sure they are also accessible.

We updated this mid century home with low light for a young family who wanted a calm vibe with bursts of playful color here and there. We had fun and think we succeeded!

CORTEZ AVENUE

Burlingame, CA

PROJECT

A kitchen, breakfast room, family room and primary suite all needed to break free from their late 1990's builder grade roots. The result is a light filled contemporary space that feels happy and inviting.

PROJECT

The existing kitchen was a perfect example of early 2000's design and ready for an update. We were able to bring the kitchen into the now with plenty of function and storage to boot. The massive island is a highlight of the kitchen.

17TH AVENUE

LOCATION

San Francisco CA

PROJECT

MWD and her team had fun figuring out how to make a historic home in the Richmond neighborhood  work as an open concept. Layered earth tones and highly textured fabrics and materials were used to create warmth throughout the main floor. Working with our clients' brilliant art as the focal point we were able to create a cohesive and welcoming environment.

This was an extensive remodel for a traditional craftsmen house. Respecting the architecture and the client's desire for minimalist comfort we succeeded in helping bring to life a home for raising a family and entertaining.

MWD had so much fun with this full scale remodel of an Eichler. Staying true to the architecture we kept the kitchen open with mid-century pops of color.
